Can someone hazard a guess about their origin?

Well I just copied these from blogs, news paper editorials, news items… originating from our dear friendly Pakistan.

Some are examples of good creative work since they are a complete figment of creative imagination. Even if it not originally from Pakistan, they are carefully searched and picked up from hundreds of Indian News such as “So and so army person committed suicide”. News like that from the inside pages of Indian Newspapers is picked up, spruced up if required with a spicy headlines etc and then brandished properly with credits to the original Indian news source. That sounds much more credible.

Once such dramatic news items are published they have a way of proliferating on the net. In some cases, such eye-catching headlines that sell more, featuring exaggerations, scandal-mongering, sensationalism suitably promoted by some Pakistan websites are and then echoed/reprinted in Indian and international media. (yellow journalism…?)

Some have been published under the pens of western sounding Journalists such as ‘Christina Palmer’ but no one really knows who they are.

A simple Google search reveals on keywords such as “Indian Army .pk or Pakistan” will throw up interesting results. http://dailymailnews.com/ is a good repository of anti India vitriol. It seems it was created for this purpose only.

What would anyone do this? Well, it is quite simple. The pot must be kept boiling. The Pakistani people are more likely to remain convinced about the importance of defending themselves from these wily, evil, sick, war mongering Indians. The institutions such as Pakistani Army and ISI can thrive on such nourishment. Well, talk about vested intuitional interests and “fully self sustaining systems”.
